Prioritizing Second Gifts…Now More Than Ever

Time: Networking: 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.; Workshop: 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.

Venue: Geneva Foundation of Presbyterian Homes — 8707 Skokie Blvd., Ste. 400, Skokie IL 60077 (Ample parking is available in the parking lot. Please take elevator to the fourth floor and enter suite 400.)

Program Description: In Fatal Fundraising Flaws, author Ron Rescigno uncovers the pervasive mistakes that hinder organizations from achieving their full revenue potential. Drawing from their extensive experience as  renowned fundraising experts, Ron and Sue will offer invaluable insights and practical strategies to rectify these common pitfalls.

One of the “fatal fundraising flaws” that they will discuss is the failure to make the second gift a priority. The fact is: only 20% of first-time donors ever give again to the same organization, but once you get that second gift, they become 63% more likely to give to your organization again.

Ron and Sue will guide you through the steps that provide new donors with a continuous flow of communication that leads to that all-important second gift and deepens donor engagement and greater lifetime value.

The discussion will include:

  • What it takes to get the all-important second gift

  • How and when to make the second ask

  • How to integrate the second gift strategy into your annual plan

  • What the new donor “honeymoon phase” is all about

  • The most important thing you can do as a fundraiser

Fatal Fundraising Flaws will be available to purchase and one lucky attendee will receive an autographed copy for free!
